Railway Network at Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland

If you prefer using public transport rather than driving the car at Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland; good news is the railway network is quite good.

Last year we spent our spring at Switzerland and based at Lauterbrunnen Valley for 4 days and 3 nights.

The view was amazing, even more astounding than the famous Interlaken.

The Lauterbrunnen Railway

If you bought Swiss Pass, you just have to show the pass instead off buying ticket.

From Lauterbrunnen we can go direct to Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Interlaken and we also can go to Grindelwald.

To Jungfraujoch

To Jungfraujoch, we will ride the train until it reach Kleine Scheidegg.

From there we ride few different kind of cable car until we reach Jungfraujoch.

To Schilthorn

The Schilthorn is just in the Lauterbrunnen Valley.

To go up Schilthorn, from Lauterbrunnen bus station just outside the train station, take a bus (it’s free)

Stop at the bus’ final stop. From there take the cable car to go up.

Lauterbrunnen Valley is not that big. You can walk if you want to.

The cable car made few stops including Wengen, Murren, Birg.

Each of this stop has amazing different view and I just learnt while we were there that actually we can overnight at Murren.
